If you’ve lost track of time and didn’t plan enough time for your dough to rise here’s a shortcut: place an electric heating pad on the kitchen counter on top of a cutting board. Set to low and place a towel on top. Then add your dough bowl on top. This gentle warmth spurs yeast activity so the dough will rise double it’s size in no time. No heating pad? A warm, not hot, running clothes dryer will jump-start the yeast too.
