When cooking pungent meals, like fish or onions the smell can not only linger in your home but on your clothing. Dab a few drops of vanilla extract on your wrists to diffuse the odor and add a light fragrance to compensate. If you prefer, you can use lemon juice or peppermint extract. Another tip is to keep a small bowl of white vinegar on the counter to absorb the odors before they cling to you!
