It can be costly and frustrating when our beloved kitty claws our furniture. To prevent this from happening, place a scratching post near her item of choice. When your cat shows interest in the post, push down on a clickable pen and give her a treat. The click will signal she is doing something right and hardwire a new habit to her. Repeat this every time she scratches the post so she learns that this behavior leads to a reward. Save your furniture!
