Sometimes we can get a mud stain that won’t budge. Don’t despair! Rub a few drops of baby shampoo on the stain before throwing it in the washing machine. It will work because the baby shampoo breaks up protein bonds in the mud yet it’s very gentle on your clothing. If you should get some fresh mud tracked onto your carpet, cover it with salt. The salt will dry the stain then you can vacuum up the remaining particles.
