Tip of the Day: Stretch Potting Soil

When potting plants, indoors or outdoors, I have always lined the bottom of my containers with packing peanuts. This allows you to use much less potting soil, especially in large planters, and it increases drainage. I save the packing peanuts whenever I get a package containing them so I don’t have the extra expense.
