The temperature is dropping and there are a few measures you should take to avoid costly plumbing repairs: drain ALL garden hoses, insulate exposed pipes, drain air conditioner pipes (if your AC has a water shut-off valve, turn it off), if you are away for any extended time keep your heat at at least 55° (so your pipes won’t freeze and burst) and very important, know where your water main shut off is located in case you need to turn it off.
