Should you get an extended warranty when you purchase a big ticket item? In my opinion, in most cases, NO! Why? Chances are you will never make a claim and also, if you do, chances are it is NOT covered by the warranty!! It has also been my experience that if you contact the manufacturer directly they will repair for free or offer a solution. Save the money. In the worst case scenario you can put it towards a new product!
