Summer is half over and BBQ grills will be going on sale. Real Simple magazine has some important things to consider before you purchase:
For gas grills: the Btu number, 12,000 to 15,000 should be sufficient, check the burner shape, avoid flat sheet metal burners; stainless steel, cast brass, or porcelain-enameled iron are the best, and determine what features are necessary to you or that you don’t need!
For charcoal grills: there should be two grates (one for the coals and one for the food), make sure the vents provide cross ventilation, and check design details that fit your needs.
Get a grill brush, spatula, tongs, basting brush, and a thermometer and you are all set!
