Tip of the Day: Avoid Bank’s Sustained-Overdraft Fee

If you exceed the balance in your checking account you can be charged from $6.00 (per day) or up to $35.00 (flat fee after 5 days). A way to ensure that this does not happen is to link your savings account to your checking account. When the funds are low, it will automatically transfer the money. Sometimes there is a transfer fee, check with your bank, or shop around to find a bank that doesn’t have one.
