Rain Checks are issued by stores as a courtesy when they run out of sale items. It is always a good practice to get a Rain Check, you are at the store anyway. However, if you return to the store and the sale item has been restocked while the sale price is still current, buy it without using your Rain Check. Save your Rain Check for a “rainy” day when the item is no longer on sale. As always, check if there is an expiration date on your Rain Check.
