Tip of the Day: Shopping and Coupons

When grocery shopping the best tip I can give is to make a list. If possible, arrange your list in order of the aisles of your favorite store so you won’t be meandering back and forth to find your needs. Next, if you have coupons (everyone should! a very good source to print coupons is coupons.com if you are not registered do so at this site) pull them out of your coupon file as you put the item in the cart. This way you will not forget to give them to the cashier. This also eliminates any extra searching around so you will be able to watch that your items are scanning correctly. Again, alternate the values of the coupons before you give them to the cashier: 50 cents, 35 cents, 50 cents, 25 cents, $1.00 etc this way you can keep track that you are getting credit for all your coupons. When the cashier gives you your receipt make sure there are no register reward coupons ( the ones that come out from the cash register that are good for your next shopping trip) left behind. Always check your receipts!
