Tip of the Day: Frozen Windshields Thaw with Vinegar
If you park you car outdoors during the Winter there’s a good chance you will encounter a frozen windshield. Keep a spray bottle (buy one at the dollar store or save an empty one) filled with 3 parts water and 1 part white vinegar handy. Start your car and turn on the defroster. Then spritz with the vinegar solution. Because the vinegar has a lower melting point than water when it hits your icy window the thawing process will be faster. A bonus is that the vinegar leaves behind a thin film that will prevent new ice from forming for a few days.
