An aglet is a small sheath, often made of plastic or metal, attached at each end of a shoelace. When this falls off or gets damaged it is almost impossible to re-lace your shoes. If the laces are in good condition and don’t yet need replacing, you can fix this. Tightly wrap a small piece of clear (if you prefer) packaging tape around the loose lace threads. Next fuse this with a spritz of hairspray. This will create an invisible seal and you’ll be able to lace and unlace your shoes again!
