If you have a damp area in your home, especially in the basement, you can reduce the moisture with the same deicing salt you use in the Winter on your driveways and sidewalks. Here’s how: drill a few holes in the bottom of a bucket. Place this bucket inside another larger bucket that’s in tact. Now fill the smaller bucket with the rock salt. Over time water will collect into the small bucket and drop into the large one. Empty when full.
