If you love the taste and healthy benefits of salmon but the white film that forms on the fillets ruins your appetite, try soaking the fish in brine before cooking! Simply add 1 tablespoon of salt per cup of water for your fillets to soak in for 10 minutes. Pat dry and cook as usual. The salt will have partially dissolved the muscle fibers on the salmon’s surface so it will release less albumin protein (that’s what the white film is) while it cooks. You’ll cook perfect pink salmon every time!
