Spills happen! If it happens to be some from that delicious hot chocolate drink you were enjoying, use a butter knife to scape off the excess. Then soak your garment in cold water that’s been mixed with a couple of drops of detergent. Let this sit for a few minutes. Next soak a clean cloth in white vinegar and blot what’s left of the stain. If your item can be machine washed, wash as usual. Otherwise, dab the spot with a damp cloth and let air dry. The vinegar will have broken down the chocolate so it lifted out of the fabric.
