If you have permanent marker stains on your wall or elsewhere spray aerosol sunscreen directly onto it. Let sit for about a minute. Wipe off with a paper towel. If any residue remains, wipe off with a damp cloth. This should work because there are lightweight oils and solvents in the sunscreen that will quickly break down the alcohol-based pigments found in permanent marker ink. This is a secret professional cleaners use on leather goods and dry erase boards too.
