Uh oh! You washed that wool or cashmere sweater in hot water and it shrunk! You can try reviving it to it’s original size by soaking it in a sink full of cool water and 1/4 cup hair conditioner for 30 minutes. The stearamidopropyl dimethylamine (WOW!) in most hair conditioners will relax and soften the wool or cashmere fibers so the sweater should return to it’s natural size. After soaking, gently rinse the sweater and roll it in a clean towel to absorb the extra moisture. DO NOT WRING! Lay flat to dry and keep your fingers crossed!
