If you encounter a wine stain or two on your countertops it can be challenging to remove them while not harming your your surfaces. For laminate and solid quartz tops such as Corian or Silestone, that tend to stain very easily, spritz with an all-purpose cleaner containing bleach. Let sit for a minute or two then wipe and rinse off. If the stain persists, try the Mr. Clean Sponge. For marble and granite tops, these are very porous, wipe off with distilled water (tap contains too many minerals that leave residue) and top off with folded white paper towels soaked in hydrogen peroxide. Cover with Saran Wrap with the edges taped down. Let this sit for 24 hours then remove the wrap and leave the towels to air dry about another day. Rinse off and dry.
