If you have a cat, you know their litter box can have a distasteful smell. The problem can be solved easily if you swap your regular slotted scoop for a soup ladle (buy one at the Dollar Store JUST for this purpose!!!)! The soup ladle allows the urine soaked litter to be removed as well as the solid waste unlike the slotted scoop. The left-behind litter is what has the unpleasant odor. Remember to add fresh litter to your box as the ladle is removing more than the scoop did.
