If you have rusty garden tools, car parts, scissors, and more cut a raw onion in half and twist it around the area. Let this sit around the item for about an hour. Remove the tool and wipe away any residue. The onion’s enzymes act as a rust remover to leave the metal gleaming! This works on iron scorch marks too. Leave the cut side of a raw onion on the spot for a few hours. Next, launder as usual. The mark should be gone because the sulfenic acids in the onion will have broken down the scorch mark to prevent the stain from becoming permanent.
