It’s Winter! Ice happens! It can be dangerous on our walkways and sidewalks. You can keep safe without the use of harsh chemicals if you make a mixture of 1 cup coarse salt, 1 cup of sand, and 1/2 cup of cat litter. Sprinkling this over driveways and sidewalks is much gentler on your concrete, pavers, stone, and pet-friendly! Best of all, much cheaper than rock salt! The salt will melt the ice while the sand and cat litter add traction. Keep a bucket handy for as-needed- use!
