If you have a range hood above your stove you know it is a magnet for grease from frying and other cooking. This is quite difficult to clean if it builds up. To prevent this, wash the hood with soap and water as usual, then using a clean cloth coat the surface with a layer of car wax. The wax will prevent the grease from clinging to the surface. Repeat every several months as needed.
