Collect hair from your hairbrush and place it inside the leg of an old pair of pantyhose. Once you’ve gathered enough, hang the hair-filled pouch from a branch or garden fence near the plants you want to protect. The human scent will help keep deer away. Be sure to replace the hair after a heavy rain. If you visit a hair salon, ask to collect their excess hair! They’d probably be happy to help you.
