The holidays are right around the corner! You can save money by coloring your own sugar for decorating all of your bakery delights. The simple way to do is pour granulated or coarse sugar into in a zipper plastic bag. Add a few drops of food coloring into the bag. Seal and knead the color into the sugar. If needed, add more food coloring one drop at a time and knead after each addition. Let dry for at least one hour before decorating your cookies, cupcakes, and other yummy treats.
