Summer’s long days can make your feet swell. To reduce this and lessen the uncomfortable feeling try making a rub for your feet with 6 drops of lavender essential oil mixed with 1 tablespoon of coconut oil. Rub over your ankles and feet for 1 minute using a circular motion. Next, massage your ankles and feet, tops and bottoms, using long strokes for 30 seconds so the oil can get absorbed. The lavender oil has anti-inflammatory properties to reduce feet and ankle swelling on contact. The massaging helps redistribute the trapped fluids and toxins that contribute to the puffiness.
