If your black slacks, shirts, and other clothing are faded from numerous washings you can renew them with a coffee ground wash. Steep 1/4 cup of coffee grounds in a gallon of water for 10 minutes; strain and cool. Add your clothing to your washing machine. Pour this over the clothing and run the washer on gentle WITHOUT any soap. The tannins in the coffee will deepen the color. If there is residue in your washer, run an empty cycle with one cup of white vinegar.
