UGH! After grating cheese for your recipe, you have the hard task of cleaning the grater. It can be a challenge getting into all the nooks and crannies without scraping your fingers. Try grating a raw potato onto the dirty side before washing. The firmness of the potato will push out the bits of dried cheese that’s lodged in the holes. The potato’s moisture also softens any residue. Rinse off immediately and wash with dish liquid.
