With the cold weather approaching it’s a good time to wrap hot water heaters and any pipes going to them, especially in crawl spaces and basements. When water travels those few feet between the water heater and the wall you lose a lot of heat. The wrapping with insulation may also allow you to lower the water temperature settings and get to your faucets quicker. This saves not only energy but water too!
