June is packed with celebrations: graduations, weddings, Father’s Day, and the start of summer fun. Even though prices are high and coupons aren’t what they used to be, there are still smart ways to save, whether you shop in-store or online. You just need to know where to look.

One of the easiest places is Ibotta. Not your traditional method (with cut-out coupons). There’s no clipping! All you need an cell phone with a camera or you can add your store’s loyalty card to your account and Ibotta will do all the work for you automatically. Ibotta is a fun and easy way to earn cash each time you go to the store. When you place the app on your phone Ibotta you’ll find your earnings add up very quickly. Before shopping, choose your favorite products from your favorite stores from the offered selections (these constantly change). The more you choose and buy, the more cash you’ll earn. You can buy your chosen products at all of the top retailers online or in-store. Choose from Target, Walmart, CVS, Shop Rite, Stop & Shop, Acme, and all your of your other favorite stores. Give it a try—you may be surprised how quickly the savings build up.

For Dads, June is a sweet spot for savings. Men’s suits, dress shirts, and everyday clothing all tend to go on sale leading up to Father’s Day (June 21). Keep an eye out for store promos and stack them with percent-off coupon codes whenever you can, it’s one of the easiest ways to stretch your budget. Whether you’re picking up comfortable at-home sweats or sharper dress pants, there are plenty of solid deals to be found.

Tech gifts are big this time of year, too. A smartwatch can be a great choice, and you’ll often see heavy promotions not just before Father’s Day, but afterward as well. Just make sure it fits his lifestyle with fitness tracking, notifications, battery life, and most importantly, that it’s compatible with his phone. For example, the Apple Watch pairs best with iPhones, while something like the Samsung Galaxy Watch is better suited for Android users. With a little planning and by combining sales with coupons you can land a thoughtful gift without overpaying.

June is an excellent opportunity to stock up on PC games. Thanks to sales from online retailers gaming enthusiasts can expect to save as much as 90% off select titles. I guess this is to help pass the lazy days of Summer! Look for big promotions from platforms like SteamEpic Games Store, and GOG.com. These sales often include everything from blockbuster AAA titles to indie favorites, so there’s something for every type of player. A smart move is to build a wish list ahead of time. Many platforms will notify you when prices drop. Also, keep an eye out for bundle deals or complete editions, which can offer even deeper savings than buying games individually.

Smart speakers are another category worth watching in June. They open the door to music, news, weather updates, and even controlling smart home devices. Popular options like the Amazon Echo and Google Nest Audio are frequently discounted, making it a good time to pick one up if it’s been on your list. With a little planning and by combining sales with coupon codes you can land a thoughtful gift without overpaying.

June 18 is known as National Splurge Day a fun excuse to treat yourself a little. And honestly, why not? The catch is that while it’s gaining some popularity, it’s not quite mainstream enough for most retailers to roll out official Splurge Day sales. So if you’re waiting for big, advertised deals tied to the day, you might be waiting a while. That said, you can still play it smart. Instead of splurging blindly, use the day as a reason to hunt for value. Check your favorite retailers for unadvertised markdowns, flash sales, or clearance sections, especially online, where deals tend to pop up without much fanfare. It’s also a great time to stack any available promo codes, rewards points, or cash-back offers (like from Ibotta) to make your “splurge” feel a lot more justified. If you’ve had your eye on something for a while, this is your moment, just make sure you’re getting a good price, not just giving in to the occasion. That’s the sweet spot: treating yourself and feeling like you scored a win.

Looking to celebrate Father’s Day (6-21) or a graduation with something a little more meaningful this year? Health and wellness gifts are a smart choice and June is actually one of the best times to buy them. Retailers tend to roll out strong promotions on fitness equipment, apparel, and accessories, making it easier to find something thoughtful without overspending. Whether you’re shopping for an active dad, a recent grad starting fresh, or someone trying to build healthier habits, there are plenty of practical options. For at-home fitness, keep an eye out for deals on essentials like resistance bands, adjustable dumbbells, yoga mats, and compact cardio equipment. Brands like Bowflex and NordicTrack often discount larger items like home gyms, treadmills, and bikes this time of year, while retailers like Dick’s Sporting Goods and Amazon run frequent sales on smaller gear. If space is tight or you’re buying for a beginner, simple equipment can go a long way. A set of bands or a quality mat can support everything from strength training to stretching and recovery and no bulky setup required. Apparel is another easy win. Moisture-wicking shirts, workout shorts, and supportive sneakers often go on sale ahead of Father’s Day, so you can upgrade their gear without paying full price. The key is to match the gift to their lifestyle. Someone who enjoys walking might love a fitness tracker or comfortable shoes, while a home workout enthusiast might appreciate new equipment to keep things fresh. The bottom line, June isn’t just about celebrating, it’s a chance to invest in feeling better, too, and do it at a discount.

National Fishing & Boating Week is in June too, 6-06-26 to 6-14-26. Some states have extended FREE fishing longer than just the one week. You don’t even need a license. Check your state here.

Tools and power tools to give the handy Dad a helping hand. It’s a good time to shop for  sales and price reductions for cordless drills. These will be on sale at big box stores like Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Harbor Freight Tools. Don’t forget the lawn and garden equipment that are at the lowest prices this month. Stay away from Grills and Air Conditioners because you will pay top dollar.

There may be a lot of price reductions on Strollers in June, so whether you’re shopping for a baby shower gift or you want to upgrade your own kid’s ride, it’s a good time to start looking around

Ladies, June is actually a really good time to catch markdowns in the intimates and self-care space, because a lot of retailers are clearing out inventory to make room for new seasonal collections. Stores like Victoria’s Secret are especially known for their semi-annual sale, where you’ll often see deep discounts on bras, panties, loungewear, and sleepwear. It’s one of those rare times when higher-priced pieces drop into very budget-friendly territory, so it’s worth browsing even if you’re just looking to refresh a few basics.

National Rose Month is celebrated in June. Roses are synonymous with love, peace, beauty, war, and politics. In 1986, President Ronald Reagan signed a resolution making the rose the national flower of the United States. 6-13-26 is also National Red Rose Day, which honors the red rose as a symbol of love and romance. Enjoy rosé wine to kick off the summer.

Swimwear is one of those interesting seasonal buys where the timing feels a little backward, but actually works in your favor. Even though this is exactly when most people need swimsuits, retailers often discount them in early summer to move inventory quickly and avoid leftover stock later in the season. That means you can sometimes catch solid deals if you shop at the right moment. On the side of safety, many swim instructors and water safety experts recommend being thoughtful about swimsuit color choices, especially for children. Bright, high-contrast colors like neon orange, pink, or yellow tend to be much easier to spot in a pool. Blue swimsuits, in particular, can blend into the water and surrounding environment, which may make visibility harder in an emergency situation. So while style still matters, this is one of those categories where a simple color choice can make a real difference in safety, especially for kids who are frequently in or around water.

Cookware deals will be plentiful for brides and grooms as wells as those college grads that will be settling in to their own place. Blenders are probably the best price of the year. Consumer Reports has found that many tend to cost less in May and June, which means you might be able to get a better one without paying full price.

National Doughnut Day is Friday 6-05-26. This was created by The Salvation Army in 1938 to honor those who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I. Many donut shops like to celebrate this day by giving away FREE donuts. In celebration of National Donut Day, this year you can get FREE donuts from Dunkin’ Donuts, Krispy Creme, and more. 7-Eleven has buy one get one FREE. Check the location nearest you to be sure of their participation.

Blood pressure monitors are definitely one of those quiet essential health tools and June is a surprisingly good time to find them on sale, especially with summer wellness promotions and pharmacy discounts.

In the grocery store it’s all about the hot weather and barbecues. Many stores are starting to have better bargains in their weekly circulars. Be sure to clip your coupons to save on ice cream and popsicles that will be on sale. Get your cheese, cream cheese, butter, whipping cream, and yogurt because June is National Dairy Month. Tip: don’t waste cold milk! It can be used up to 7 days after its sell-by date! Or even can be frozen!! Most milk is freezable and will maintain its quality if frozen for up to 3 months. Quench your thirst with bottled water, iced tea mixes and tea bags, and soda all at special prices. Seasonal fruits like berries, cherries, watermelon, and peaches will be on sale. Other produce sales will be on corn, potatoes, onions, squash, and tomatoes. Deals on hot dogs and hamburger meat and their fixings for your Fourth of July BBQ. Chips, ketchup, charcoal, salad dressing, dips, and other Summer needs to snack on will be also at better prices.

While the days are longer, the sun is warmer, and the season of fun is officially here so take time to enjoy it all. Whether you’re heading to the beach, firing up the grill, or simply enjoying a well-earned break, soak up the sunshine and make the most of summer’s simple pleasures. Don’t forget the sunscreen and maybe a new game, book, or playlist to kick things off right. Stay safe, keep cool, and enjoy time with family and friends. Most of all, take care of your health and enjoy every moment of the season!
