If your dryer is taking a long time to dry your laundry it could be a dirty lint trap. I know you clean it after every load (right?), but there could be a film on on it from dryer sheets, etc. Run it under the faucet. If it collects water, clean it with an old toothbrush and warm, soapy water. This will speed up drying time as well as prevent a fire hazard and lower your electric bill.
