That afternoon cup of tea spilled on your carpet! For any tea stains you can rid them with a solution made from a mix of equal parts of water, milk, and household bleach in a bowl. Wet the area with the solution using a sponge. Once the area is saturated, blot with a towel and rinse with water. The lactic acid in the milk loosens the bond between the tea’s tannins and the carpet fibers while the bleach neutralizes the brownish color.
