If yours is like my family, as soon as they see freezer burn in the carton of ice cream they think its bad and won’t eat it! Prevent this waste by pressing 3-5 mini marshmallows into the carton after it has been scooped for the first time. The marshmallows will absorb excess moisture and block air pockets. Freezer burn occurs when water evaporates and refreezes as ice crystals. The top of the ice cream carton will be soft and scoopable because of the marshmallow moisture shield.
