The Holidays Are Right Around the Corner! Black Friday sales are starting earlier than ever this year! Stores are competing for your business; so many have already launched their deals. Shopping early means getting first pick before items sell out. Keep in mind many Black Friday doorbusters are limited in quantity and meant to get you in the store. Skip the lines, crowds, and cold weather by shopping from home instead. With coupon codes and online specials, you can often snag the same deals (without leaving your couch!). If you do buy early, watch for price adjustments some retailers, like Target, offer a price guarantee if an item drops in price shortly after your purchase. Cyber Monday online sales will kick off on December 1st, so keep an eye out for those too!

In the days following Halloween, you can satisfy your sweet tooth for less as most major stores will slash candy prices by 50% or more! This year, shelves are especially well-stocked. Whether fewer kids are trick-or-treating or families are celebrating in other ways, one thing’s for sure there’s plenty of candy to go around. Take advantage of these markdowns to stock up on treats for baking, upcoming holidays, kids’ birthday parties, or entertaining guests. Those leftover Halloween goodies will come in handy long after October 31st!

Veterans Day Sales are not too much to get excited about but they’re still worth checking out! Check the link for the full list that includes many specials for our military.

Depending on where you live, as temperatures start to cool, demand for home services goes down, so contractors and other professionals may be willing to work with you on pricing projects you have in mind. They could also be offering discounts in general with demand down, so check around and see what kinds of promotions are available in your area.

Cookware deals will be found due to the heavy holiday gatherings coming up. Shop for cutlery, flatware, and even small appliances. Turkey fryers are very popular! Don’t forget plastic containers for leftovers!!! This is the time of year you’ll get bargains.

Every mom wants her child to look their best during the holiday festivities! Baby and kids’ holiday outfits are now being featured both online and in stores. These are perfect for all those family gatherings and festive photos. Save big by shopping early, using sales and coupon codes, so even faraway friends and relatives can see your little ones looking their holiday best. CVS Photo and Walgreens are offering great specials on photo cards, gifts, and more. There are deals for sharing those precious holiday moments. Don’t forget to check my site for the latest coupon codes and extra savings!

Home stores, like Lowes and The Home Depot are slow in November. They will try to entice you will limited editions of tools and other items that can be used as gifts or stocking stuffers. Most times, this is the only time of year you’ll find some these. And definitely, some unique and hard-to-find holiday decor that are available NOW. You’ll find Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas all in one place. You may even find Halloween decor reduced for you to save until the next one!

Future brides now is the time to shop for THE dress. Many brides choose May or June for their ceremonies so November is a slow month, especially when there’s an excess of last season’s gowns, so you can find some beautiful dresses at reduced prices.

TVs big and small will be priced right, but prices will probably not stray too much throughout the holiday season. Off brands will get you the greatest savings. Wait until next year for name brands.

In your supermarket look for special purchases that will give you a FREE turkey or other holiday dinner meal. Your spending adds up quickly so you probably will qualify. Don’t need it? Donate your FREE item, many others  are less fortunate, and will welcome it. If you are just buying a turkey, prices are higher this year than last!!! As we know, everything seems to be more expensive so shop where you can get something extra for your money!!! Start your non-perishable holiday shopping early so you won’t be disappointed or have to travel from store to store to find your holiday ingredients . In addition, sales will be found on many frozen foods, cake mixes, chocolate chips, evaporated milk, coconut, pie crusts, butter, cheese, turkey, refrigerated dough items, pie fillings, frostings, dried fruits, oatmeal, soups and broth, marshmallows, gravy mixes, boxed stuffing, and canned pumpkin. In the produce department Anjou pears, beets, broccoli, Brussel sprouts, cabbage, carrots, celery, cranberries, kiwi, lemons, oranges, potatoes, squash, and yams will all be on sale. Non-food items that will be on sale for your holiday cooking are aluminum foil, plastic wrap, disposable baking pans, and cookware. Try to combine coupons (mostly digital) with these items and especially the ones that aren’t on sale. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Whether you’re celebrating virtually or in person, may your day be safe, thankful, and filled with joy. Enjoy the moments that matter most!
