Tip of the Day: Caramelize Onions in a Jiffy!

There’s a secret to quickly sautéing onions! If you add a dash of baking soda (1/4 teaspoon per pound of onions) as they cook you will raise the pH of the onions so that will speed up the chemical reaction that turns them brown. Yum!
