Many recipes require canned beans. They are easier to deal with compared to bagged beans that have to be soaked overnight. However, it is sometimes messy to rinse the canned beans of their residue. Next time, punch a few holes in the top and bottom of the can and hold under running water until the liquid is clear. Then, remove the can top and they are ready to use! No messy colander to wash.
