Tip of the Day: Make “C” Batteries Work in “D” Battery Items

If you only have C batteries but your child’s toy or your flashlight calls for D‘s, don’t fret! Insert the C‘s lining up the positive and negative ends as marked on the item. Then use quarters (about 4 or 5 per battery) to fill the gap between the battery and the spring. The metal coins will conduct electricity so the charge will still flow!
