If you have a firepit made from copper it will develop a patina over time. This is a fact of life so trying to get rid of the tarnish is a losing battle. Instead, to keep yours for years, get a snug, weatherproof cover that will keep out leaves and other debris because if you don’t, when it rains the ash will turn into a soggy mess.
