Tip of the Day: Placement Keeps Produce Fresher
Did you know how you place or arrange your produce can effect it’s longevity? Fruits like apples, avocados, and bananas release ethylene gas which can speed the ripening of ethylene-sensitive produce like grapes, leafy greens, and broccoli. So store these in separate bowls in the refrigerator or on your countertop. Keep garlic, onions, and potatoes in your pantry as they like to be cool but not refrigerator cold.
