Tip of the Day: Bring a Light Bulb to a Garage Sale

Pack a good, working light bulb before you go to your next garage sale. Why? If you see a lamp you might want to purchase, screw it in and plug it in to see if it works. (Many hosts will have an outlet for you to use). Also look for frayed cords on any electrical appliances. Test those too. The last thing you want is a short circuit at your home!
