Tip of the Day: Fix a Stripped Screw Hole with a Packing Peanut

If a screw is wobbly in the hole you are trying to secure, hold a Styrofoam packing peanut against it, press the screw up to it and tighten as usual without removing the peanut. When finished, cut around any exposed Styrofoam. The Styrofoam will cling to the screw’s threads thus filling the excess space, giving you a tighter, more secure fit.
