Tip of the Day: Don’t Let Tomato Paste Go To Waste!
It happens all the time! You need a teaspoon or two of tomato paste for your recipe. You hate to discard the rest of the can, but what can you do? I’ll tell you! Drop tablespoons of the paste onto a lined baking sheet. Freeze until solid. Now, transfer each portion into a plastic freezer bag, in the freezer, and store for up to 3 months. These small portions won’t grow mold or dry out. When you need some for your next recipe grab a portion or two. No waste!
