If you are bothered by fruit flies, pour some red wine into a glass. Cover tightly with plastic wrap. Poke a few tiny holes in the top. Set the glass where the flies are most prominent. The fruit flies will be drawn to the wine’s scent and slip through the holes in order to reach the liquid. Once inside, they will be trapped due the the plastic wrap barrier and the slick glass, so they cannot escape!
