Tip of the Day: Tenderized Tasty Poultry Burgers
If you love chicken and turkey burgers but they get dry when grilled, try adding half of finely grated onion, per pound, before making the patties. The moisture-rich onion will release juice as it cooks so the burgers will be moist, tender, and flavorful. If you prefer to have a very lean BEEF burger, but run into the same dry taste, try forming the patties around a small ice cube. As the burger cooks, the ice will melt so they’ll be moist and tender!
