Tip of the Day: Sponge Smelling Funky?

If your sponge is in good condition, but emits a mildewy odor you can nix this by sprinkling it baking soda. If you do this after each use you will control the smell. Adding the sponge securely to the top rack of the dishwasher will rid most odors too.
