Tip of the Day: Keep Refrigerator Doors Sealed Tight for Cool Food
Keep your refrigerator running efficiently by making sure the door seal is clean and tight.
A worn or loose seal lets cold air escape, making the appliance work harder and waste energy.
Test it by closing the door on a dollar bill. If it slides out easily, it’s time to replace the seal. In the meantime, you can repair the seal by removing any dirt from the seal, then applying a thin layer of Vaseline on the seal. This will create a connection with the frame. Keeping the seal in good shape saves energy, keeps food fresher, and extends the fridge’s life.
