Tip of the Day: Clean Up Cooking Spills with Salt

Bubble bubble, toil and trouble! That’s what happens when your food spills out of the pot onto the burner. When it does, sprinkle some salt on the hot drippings. When it cools, you’ll be able to wipe the spills easily because the salt absorbs the liquid and is mildly abrasive so it will remove stuck-on food without scratching your stove.
