Tip of the Day: Remove Stuck-On Food from Cast Iron Pans
Cleaning a cast iron pan can be challenging. You can’t scour or you’ll remove the seasoning and conditioning it took so long to perfect. Instead, while the pan is still warm, pour in some club soda to cover the bottom of the pan. Let it soak while you enjoy your meal. Then, you’ll be able to wash the pan easily because the carbon dioxide in the soda will have softened the food particles for easy removal. This works on stainless steel and aluminum pans too.
