Get your chrome fixtures, or any other chrome items, sparkling, by smashing a few sticks of chalk in a small bowl. (Buy the chalk at the Dollar Store and smash gently with a hammer). Now, dip a soft damp cloth into the bowl and wipe the chrome. Rinse off with warm water ad dry thoroughly. The slightly abrasive chalk will break down any residue and reveal the original shine.
