If you have a boot tray at your front door to catch any moisture and mud before it’s tracked into your home, line it with marbles or stones. (Get a bag or 2 at the Dollar Store) They will not only be an attractive addition to your tray, but create drainage for shoes and boots. If you’d rather not use marbles, afraid for pets and children, a cheap baking cooling rack will do the trick too.
